We’ve talked about the new Lancia Stratos before, but this time it’s not the main star attraction of the piece.
This time, the main attraction is Ferrari’s CEO, Mr. Luca di Montezemolo, as he recently had a drive in the new Lancia Stratos.
The new Lancia Stratos is a one off creation, done for a very rich man called Michael Stoschek by the famous design house at Pininfarina.
Pininfarina made the new Lancia Stratos using a Ferrari 430 Scuderia chassis as a base and then they created the new body drawing inspiration from the classic Lancia.
However, once you’ve spent so much on a car, it is a unique creation and such, you may want to go that extra mile. So here’s what Michael Stoschek did; he offered Luca di Montezemolo a “testdrive”.
Ferrari’s CEO responded in what can only be described as a gentlemanly fashion. di Montezemolo trashed the new Lancia around a couple of laps and then did Mr. Stoscheck a great favor.
He congratulated him on the way the new Lancia Stratos looks and drives and then went one further. Ferrari’s CEO autographed the new Lancia.
Now that’s style and flair.
