2010 Paris Motor Show: Citroen C5 facelift

The long awaited moment that marks the debut of this year Paris Motor Show came with many debuts, surprising concepts, facelift versions or new models. We rumored this C5 facelift yesterday and it seems that our assessements were true.

Minor aesthetic changes were made for the new Citroen C5 Sedan and Tourer, the French manufacturer limiting the changes to LED lights for the front and rear optical blocks. Under the bonnet, the new Citroen C5 comes with two HDi engines of 110HP and 204HP and a VTi propeller able to develop 120HP.

In terms of performance, we know that the HDi 110HP propeller is able to obtain a fuel consumption of 4.6 liters/100 km and CO2 emissions of 120 g/km. The 204HP version of the same engine, benefiting from a 2.2-liter capacity is able to obtain a fuel consumption of 5.9 liters/100 km, CO2 emissions of 155 g/km and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.

There are not many details about the 120HP 1.6-liter VTi engine, we know that the fuel consumption announced stops at 6.2 liters. Citroen announced the e-HDi MICRO-Hybrid system that will debut together with the HDi 110 DPFS version but also with the second-generation of the Stop&Start system and the EGS6 transmission.
