Cadillac has a very good reason to be proud of itself because it’s 2011 Cadillac CTS model was chosen by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to be awarded the Top Safety Pick (among other models like the 2011 Infinity M). Thus, according to Cadillac Marketing vice president Don Butler, the CTS will be holding it’s first position regarding quality and safety in it’s class”.
The 2011 Cadillac CTS managed such a feat because of the safety cage and the body that is made from high grade steel. To these have been added a lot of safety features such as electronic stability control (a must for the IIHS), the OnStar system, active head restraints at the front seat, front airbags wih dual stages both for the driver and passenger and the list could go on.
With no surprise, the Cadillac CTS scored “Good” on all three impact tests (front, rear, side) and this was done from the 2008 models onwards. But now that the CTS model has scored a 4.12 ratio on the roof test, the safety picture is complete, for the driving safety of it’s customers.
