As you can see here, the special launch Mopar had at the 2011 New York Auto Show was of a new and improved version of the Dodge Charger.
Taking a beneficiary image plus from the solid appearance of the Dodge Charger in the latest of Fast and Furious movies, this Mopar creation really went the street tuning route.
The original Dodge Charger never really had any problems with being a street hero and even though the 2011 version suffers a bit from being a sedan it’s pretty much in the same club.
Something called the Super Trac Pac is what Mopar offers in order to push the 2011 Dodge Charger to the edge of what the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine can offer in production form.
370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque is what the seemingly unaltered five speed automatic gearbox can send towards the rear wheels.
Mopar says that this 2011 Dodge Charger can do handling as well as power but that claim is more than difficult to prove.
The set of handling upgrades is made up of a larger front 30 mm solid stabilizer bar and a rear 20 mm solid stabilizer bar teamed with some cross-car braces located between the shocks.
No matter how much of a sports car image the Mopar 2011 Dodge Charger may throw out at us it’s still a muscle car at heart.
