Shortly after revealing a rally version of the same model, the Americans from Dodge decided to release the first details on the new Avenger R/T, a model which, of course, will be seen in world premiere at the upcoming and long-awaited New York Auto Show.
If the Dodge Avenger rally car comes to celebrate the partnership between Mopar and Magneti Marelli, the new Avenger R/T is a model dedicated to the large audience and it is scheduled to meet the people at New York.
There are a bunch of improvements for the new Avenger, a new sport suspension promising a more pleasant ride while under the bonnet a V6 unit will power the American model. To be more exact, the new Avenger R/T comes alongside a 3.6-liter unit developing 283 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque.
In terms of handling the power, Dodge offers a single option, which is a six-speed automatic gearbox returning an average fuel consumption of 9,8 liters/100 km. On the aesthetic, we note some tweaks such as revised optical blocks, 18-inch alloy wheels and high quality materials inside such as a leather upholstery and seats.
