Hyundai officially unveiled their new offering in the C segment, namely the i30 wagon, a vehicle which debuted at this year’s edition of the Geneva Motor Show. In terms of dimensions, the new generation i30 wagon is 185mm longer and 30mm taller with a wheelbase of 2,650mm as the hatchback model.
The South Korean model offers a trunk capacity of 528 liters which can be extended to 1,642 liters when the rear seats are folded.
Under the bonnet there is no change when compared to its five-door brother, Hyundai offering three diesels and three petrol units.
The diesel range includes a 1.4-liter with 89hp and a 1.6-liter in two variants, with 109hp and 126hp. On the other hand, the petrol engines include a 1.4-liter engine with 99hp and two 1.6-liter units with 118hp and 133hp.
“Our new wagon offers all of those attributes plus even greater load-carrying capacity. We expect it to appeal strongly to those looking for stylish and flexible practicality, especially active families,” says the car maker.
European customers will see the new Hyundai i30 wagon in the showrooms starting July, pricing details following to be released at a later date.
