The American people from Jeep unveiled more details about the 2012 model year Wrangler, a model which comes in 2012 with few minor improvements, the new 3.6-liter unit being the most important addition.
Besides the engine range improvements, the Wrangler Rubicon will be available with the same body-color hardtop with the Sahara version while Jeep will continue to offer the same four trim levels, namely Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.
Under the bonnet, the 2012 Jeep Wrangler will benefit from a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 unit able to deliver 285 horses and 353 Nm of torque. When mated to a new five-speed automatic transmission, the Wrangler accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,4 seconds.
Fitted with the automatic gearbox, the new V6 unit returns an average fuel consumption of 21mpg US. The customers can however opt for a six-speed manual gearbox.
