The South Korean people from Kia decided to release the official pricing for the new Rio sedan, a model which will go on sale together with the five-door hatchback version. If Kia priced the hatchback model from $14,350, the sedan version is a little bit cheaper as it comes with a starting price of $14,150, including the $750 destination and handling fee.
Kia offers a single engine choice for the new Rio sedan, namely a 1.6-liter GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine able to deliver 138 horsepower and coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. There is also an optional automatic transmission which is a little more expensive, namely starting from $15,250.
The model is available in three different trim levels starting from the base LX model to EX and SX. According to the manufacturer, the new Kia Rio sedan comes with a city fuel economy of 30mpg and 40mpg highway.
