This day of the Frankfurt Motor Show came with other new world premieres, additional details and live photos for the customers. Right now we will talk about the new Mercedes B-Class, a model which reached its second generation and is ready to face the rivals from its class.
The German small MPV starts from €26,000 including VAT, a price which is almost the same comparing to the first generation of the model. This means that you can get the new B-Class at the same price, a noteworthy details to be fair.
Under the bonnet, the entry-level model, namely the B 180 BlueEFFICIENCY, gets a 1.6-liter gasoline unit able to develop 122 horsepower. The engine is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox while a 7G-DCT automatic transmission comes as an option.
According to the German manufacturer, the European showrooms will get the new B-Class these days while the first models will arrive to their customers somewhere in November. Besides the entry-level model, Mercedes offers two diesel variants, the B 180 CDI with 109 horses and B 200 CDI with 136 horsepower.
Thanks to the BlueEFFICIENCY technology, these diesel engines return a fuel consumption of only 4,4 liters/100 km. A 1.6-liter petrol engine with 156 horsepower which fits the B 200 model will be available as well.
