The French car manufacturer released photos and details for the 2012MY Megane, a model which receives a facelift treatment which includes aesthetic improvements but also few performance tweaks.
At the exterior, the new Renault Megane gets two special finishes named “Pearlescent White” and “Majorelle Blue” but also sports LED daytime running lights, new front and rear bumpers as well as new alloy wheels.
Inside, the customers benefit from a new Bose audio system, two-tone leather upholstery with Alcantara and other fine adjustments.
As we mentioned earlier, there are few upgrades available under the bonnet, the previous 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine being replaced by a smaller 1.2-liter TCe engine. Even it has a significantly smaller displacement, the new unit develops 115 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque, more than the unit it replaces.
The fuel economy is rated at 5,3 liters/100 km with CO2 emissions of 119 g/km, an improvement of 25% over the 1.6-liter engine.
If you opt for a diesel unit, the French company upgraded the 1.5-liter diesel unit for an impressive fuel consumption of less than 3,8 liters/100 km and CO2 emissions of 95 g/km.
Beautiful lines. A desirable here at Gran Canaria. Could like one as my next car!
