So Chevrolet thought they had Ford on the ropes. They even went on to invite the Blue Oval for a hit. Not only did they create the amazing Shelby GT500 but now there’s this.

At the upcoming New York Motor Show Shelby will be unveiling the followup model to the 2011 SuperSnake tuned model but the arithmetic orgasm is even more impressive.

No idea on what exactly they did for an engine to the 2012 Shelby but it does develop tons of power and can run on pump or racing gas.

Under street conditions, the 2012 Shelby 1000 develops an underwhelming 950 horsepower. What can I say, pump gas isn’t that impressive.

Yeah, I know it’s pathetic but when you switch off the more impressive juice and turn a wheel on the track you’ll be getting some 1000 horsepower under the bonnet.

Naturally, a tuned up engine that’s so impressive comes together with a lot of changes to the rest of the car in order to keep up.

New brakes, wheels, tires and suspension are just the start of it. A new gearbox is happening there is a single-piece driveshaft now.

A new body kit and a more aggressive appearance comes together with the new and crazy power underneath. Don’t think it’s happening for cheap.

Unlike the Shelby GT500 which comes in at 50.000 dollars for 200 mph, the new all around kit will cost another 150.000 USD on top.

Its unveiling is coming in under a couple of weeks so let’s hope they’ll give us an enormous list of components to consider good enough to justify that price tag.
