The Japanese people from Toyota announced that the facelift version of Avensis entered production at the Burnaston plant in the UK. The company revealed the 2012 Avensis at this year’s edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show. From the beginning we have to mention that Toyota have not modified the pricing of the 2012 model, at least for the British market.
The entry-level model is the Avensis saloon which benefits from the T2 trim level and gets a 1.8-liter Valvematic engine coupled to a six-speed manual transmission.
As mentioned in the title, the model is priced from £18,450 and can be also ordered with a Multidrive S transmission which is £1,000 more expensive than the base model. Toyota also offers the new Avensis as a Touring model, the most affordable Toyota Avensis Tourer being priced at £19,485 and gets exactly the same features of the base model.
If you are looking forward to the top-of-the-range versions, you can get the Avensis Tourer fitted with a 2.2-liter unit, a six-speed automatic transmission and the T Spirit trim level for £28,885. More details and performance figures to be released soon!
