The Americans from Dodge released official fuel consumption numbers for the new Dart, namely for the Dodge Dart Aero, a model equipped with a 1.4-liter MultiAir engine.
The four-cylinder turbocharged unit is capable to deliver 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a standard six-speed manual transmission which helps the model to achieve a highway fuel consumption of 41mpg US (5,7 liters/100km).
Of course, the range includes an optional six-speed automatic gearbox but the consumption is slightly increased to 40 mpg US (5,8 liters/100km).
The 2013 Dodge Dart Aero starts at $19,295 (excluding a $795 destination fee) and is equipped with cruise control, air conditioning, remote keyless entry and power mirrors. Other standard features include automatic headlamps, electronic stability control and no less than 10 airbags for increased safety.
Moreover, Dodge says that the new Dart managed to earn several awards in IIHS’s (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) Top Safety Pick rankings.
