The South Koreans from Kia decided that it is the right moment to unveil the 2013 Sorento, a model which receives a small number of upgrades.
In terms of power, the new Sorento will benefit from two 2.4-liter four-cylinder units offering 175 horsepower and 191 horsepower.
A more powerful 3.5-liter V6 with 276 horses and 336 Nm of torque is available as well, all the units being coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.
“The Kia Sorento compact crossover utility vehicle (CUV), which is built at Kia Motors’ U.S. manufacturing plant in West Point, Georgia, enters its third model year supported by an impressive list of accolades and sales milestones,” says the South Korean car maker.
The exterior appearance is improved though a new set of LED optical blocks, chrome exhaust, new 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels and other minor tweaks.
Inside, the new Kia Sorento benefits from heated front seats, stainless steel pedals, a leather steering wheel, power windows and the UVO infotainment system. Pricing information for the new 2013 Kia Sorento to be released in the coming weeks.
