Maserati released today full details on the upcoming Quattroporte sedan, a model which gets two engine choices.
To begin with, there is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo unit delivering 404 horsepower and 550Nm of torque. The V6 powerplant is capable to provide a 0-100 km/h sprint time in 5,1 seconds with a top speed of 285 km/h.
A more powerful 3.8-liter V8 engine with 523 horses and 649Nm of torque is offered as well. In this case, the 0-100 km/h acceleration is possible in just 4,7 seconds before topping at 307 km/h.
The new Italian sports car also gains in dimensions with a length of 5,263mm and a width of 1,948mm. If the new V8-powered Maserati Quattroporte is available only with rear-wheel drive, the less potent V6 variant can be fitted with an all-wheel drive system at request.
Even Maserati hasn’t confirmed this yet, the new model would benefit from a new eight-speed automatic transmission. Pricing and availability details to be released in the coming weeks.
