Opel unveiled the sedan variant of the 2013 Astra, a model scheduled to debut at the end of August in Moscow. The new Astra measures 4,6 meters in length, 1,8 meters in width and rides a wheelbase of 2,6 meters.
In terms of styling, the German model benefits from an updated look but nothing very different from the Buick Verano, the American brother of the new Astra.
The German company says that the model offers a standard boot capacity of 460 liters but folding the rear seat you will get a total of over 1,000 liters.
Under the bonnet we find four petrol engines starting with the entry-level unit offering 99hp and a range-topping 177-horsepower unit. On the other hand, the diesel range includes three units.
We talk about an entry-level 94hp engine and two 1.7-liter CDTI diesels with 108hp and 129hp.
These engines benefit from the ecoFLEX and Start/Stop system for improved fuel economy figures of 3,7 liters/100km. The CO2 emissions are also kept at a decent level of 99 g/km.
