The Spanish people from Seat completely revealed the new Leon, a model which is currently at its third generation.
In terms of engine range, the new Leon will be powered by a 1.6-liter turbo diesel with 104hp and 250Nm of torque but also a more powerful 2.0-liter offering 148hp and 320Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the petrol range includes a 1.2-liter TSI with 85hp and 104hp but also a 1.4-liter producing 120hp and a range-topping 178-horsepower 1.8-liter TSI engine.
Seat will offer manual transmissions with five and six speeds while a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox will be also available. The entry-level diesel model is able to return a fuel economy of just 4 liters/100km (58,8mpg US).
The 2013 Seat Leon is 4,263mm long, rides a wheelbase of 2,636mm and comes with a boot space of 380 liters.
The Spanish car maker plans to offer the new Leon as a three- and five-door model while an estate version will enter the market too. The official debut of the new Leon is scheduled for this fall’s Paris Motor Show.
