Toyota decided to put an end to the waiting and release the 2013 model year Auris, a hatchback model scheduled for this year’s edition of the Paris Motor Show.
The new Japanese compact model comes with LED daytime running lights, 15- to 17-inch alloy wheels, an extended range of exterior finishes and revised bumpers.
Power is provided by a 1.3-liter 98hp and 128Nm of torque unit returning a fuel economy of 5,4 liters/100 km and CO2 emissions of 125 g/km.
A more powerful 1.6-liter petrol unit with 130hp is available as well while a more frugal 1.4-liter diesel with 89hp and 205Nm of torque joins the range as well.
Toyota also plans to offer the Auris Hybrid, a vehicle which is powered by a 1.8-liter VVT-i petrol unit and an electric motor for a total output of 134hp and 142Nm of torque.
The Japanese car maker released no fuel consumption numbers for this variant but says that the 0-100 km/h sprint is done in 10,9 seconds. At the interior, Toyota provides leather trim for dashboard, satin silver inserts and a new steering wheel.
