The crowded Chinese market receives yet another model, namely the Volkswagen Bora, a mid-size sedan which benefits from several design cues of the current Jetta model.
Fitted with a 1.4-liter TSI unit producing 122 horsepower, the new model is based on the PQ34 platform and will be offered exclusively in China.
The petrol engine is equipped with BlueMotion technology and other fuel-saving features such as brake energy recuperation and a stop/start system.
Exterior styling features include new front and rear bumpers, a chromed grille, larger alloy wheels and new headlights. Inside you will find a navigation system, climate control and wood trim.
Volkswagen also says that the 1.4-liter engine can be linked either to a six-speed manual transmission or a DSG dual-clutch one. Pricing and availability information for the new Bora will be released soon by the German car maker.
