Ford unveils the new Transit Connect Wagon at Los Angeles, a commercial van able to provide a maximum towing capacity of 907 kilograms but still enough interior space for passengers.
To be more specific, the new Ford Transit Connect Wagon is offered in five- or seven-seat configurations but also with two wheelbases.
In terms of power, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine is available while a more frugal 1.6-liter EcoBoost with a highway fuel economy of 30mpg is also available. The front wheels receive the power thanks to a six-speed automatic transmission.
“It’s an all-new, smaller seven-seater that has better mileage than larger vans and creates a segment of its own,” says the car maker.
Therefore, if you are interested in the new Transit Connect Wagon, a model which is both a commercial van and a people carrier, the new Ford model is for you. According to the company, U.S. buyers will be able to order the vehicle starting next fall.
