The British folks at Jaguar introduced today the new XJR, a sports car which will be seen in world premiere at the upcoming New York Auto Show. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 550 horsepower and 680Nm of torque linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
With such resources, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in just 4,4 seconds with a top speed of 280 km/h. In terms of styling, the new XJR sports new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, 20-inch forged alloys with Pirelli tires, a quad-pipe exhaust system, new hood and front grille.
Inside, buyers will benefits from carbon fiber trim, a premium 12-speaker audio system from Meridian, leather seats with special badges and stitching.
A retuned steering system alongside a new Dynamic Stability Control and electronic rear differential promise to provide better ride and handling.
Fuel economy figures are rated at 24,4mpg UK or 11,6 liters/100km with CO2 emissions of 270 g/km.
