Jeep officially unveils the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT, a model which receives few styling tweaks and performance improvements.
At the exterior, the American SUV comes with new LED lights, a revised front grille, new bi-xenon headlamps, redesigned bumpers, a rear spoiler and new alloy wheels.
Inside, the company provides heated seats, new steering wheel, an improved infotainment system and a revised center console. Under the bonnet we find the same 6.4-liter V8 powerplant producing 470 horses and 630Nm of torque.
However, the five-speed transmission is replaced by a better eight-speed automatic gearbox. Another important feature of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is the towing capacity which has been increased by almost half to a total of 3,265 kilograms or 7,200 pounds.
The fuel consumption will be held at reasonable levels thanks to Jeep’s Fuel Saver Technology system which includes cylinder deactivation and an Eco Mode as well.
