The German folks at Mercedes confirmed today that the high-performance S65 AMG will be seen in world premiere at Los Angeles. The L.A. Auto Show starts on November 22 and will host one of the most important world premieres in the automotive world.
Scheduled to go on sale early next year, the new Mercedes S63 AMG will be powered by a 6.0-liter powerplant producing 630 horsepower, making the 0-100 km/h sprint possible in about 4 seconds.
Power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission with fuel economy figures estimated at 20mpg US or 11,6 liters/100 km.
Besides the potent V12 engine, the new German model benefits from the styling treatment of an AMG model.
We talk about new front and rear bumpers, larger alloy wheels, new accents and much more. Inside, buyers should expect high-quality materials, leather upholstery, sportier seats, a new steering wheel, wood inserts and a wide range of safety systems.
