Taking advantage of the Los Angeles Auto Show, Porsche released full details and pricing on the new Cayman Coupe, a model which will go on sale starting 2013 at a starting price of $52,600.
Under the hood we find a 2.7-liter six-cylinder engine producing 271 horsepower for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5,7 seconds. These performance figures are available for the six-speed manual transmission while a PDK dual-clutch gearbox will be even quicker.
If you want more power, there is the Porsche Cayman S, a model fitted with a 3.4-liter engine delivering 321 horsepower. It translates to a 0-100 km/h time of 5 seconds with the manual transmission and 4,9 seconds with the PDK gearbox.
The new Porsche Cayman Coupe is 172,4 inches long and 70,9 inches wide which makes is longer than the current model.
The German company also says that the fuel economy is improved by 15% while the total mass is 30 kilograms lighter. The new Porsche Cayman S starts at $63,800 and will hit the dealerships in the same time with the regular model.
