The Chevy North American carmaker has finally revealed the performance details on the 2015 Corvette Z06, the model coming with some interesting specifications.
First off, the Chevy sports car maker has officially confirmed that the 2015 Corvette Z06 will sport a 6.2-liter V8 supercharged unit, developing a good 650 horsepower and impressive 818 Nm of torque.
Second, the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.95 seconds, if equipped with the eight-speed automatic transmission, which will become available on the sports car soon enough.
To add up some flavor, Tadge Juechter, Chief engineer at Corvette, stated that the 2015 Corvette Z06 is the embodiment of true power, “ferocious acceleration, tenacious handling and high-speed stability.”
The 2015 Corvette Z06 is coming with a standard seven-speed manual gearbox, which would launch the model from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, while the quarter mile is done in 11.2 seconds.
The performance of the sports car is also highlighted by the car`s capability of achieving 1.2 G in lateral acceleration, which is quite an improvement from a previous 1.13 G.
