Ford released details on the 2015 model year Explorer. The American SUV comes with a series of styling tweaks but not performance upgrades.
Scheduled to go on sale this month, the 2015 Ford Explorer benefits from new exterior finishes (Bronze Fire Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Magnetic Metallic and Caribou Metallic), new 18-inch aluminum wheels and a new Class III trailer tow package.
Inside, buyers will get heated leather seats, new floor mats, two 4.2-inch displays part of the MyFord Touch infotainment system and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
“We know consumers love the look of Explorer Sport; with this package, you get that for Explorer XLT. It looks bold and rugged, and offers impressive technology at a surprising value,” says Ford.
Last but not least, the leather seats get contrasting stitching. The Explorer XLT can be equipped with larger 20-inch alloys, new front grille in Magnetic metallic finish and body-color door handles.
