The French based carmaker has recently unveiled the 2016 Megane at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, and now the model is back into the spotlights with some insides concerning the engine lineup that it will come with. Renault has also provided us with some interesting videos, which are showcasing the car`s technology, powertrains and other important characteristics.
In the engine department, the all-new 2016 Renault Megane will come with a base 1.2-liter petrol unit, in the TCe 100, with 100 horsepower, while the dCi 90 1.5-liter will output 90 horsepower. A stronger TCe 130 model 1.2 liter, with 130 horsepower and the EDC transmission will also set in.
Next in keen, the 1.5-liter dCi with 100 horsepower will also make its way underneath the new Megane, the engine being hooked to an EDC dual-clutch transmission. A pair of new 1.6-liter diesels will also set in, like the dCi130 and the dCi 165. The top of the line 1.6-liter TCe 205 is the most powerful diesel engine from the entire lineup.
Concerning fuel consumption, all engines with come with important efficiency and CO2 emissions. In the dCi 100 for instance, the version fuels-up just 3.3L/100 km, with the CO2 emissions standing just at 86g/km. Stay tuned for more info and details about the 2016 Renault Megane!
