Opel unveiled an interesting concept model at the Frankfurt Motor Show, a car based on the Vivaro van. It is called Vivaro Surf concept and it is quite obvious what it does. The German concept is focused towards water sports, surfing to be more exact.
The exterior is dominated by a two-color finish. The base color is a brown one while there are white accents on the hood and grille as well as on the sides and rear. The main exterior spotlight is the roof surfboard bracket that holds two boards. LED daytime running lights were also fitted on this special Opel Vivaro.
Under the hood sits a 140hp diesel engine that returns a fuel economy of 46,3 mpg UK or 6,1 liters/100 km. It comes with a total torque of 340 Nm and CO2 emissions of 160 grams per kilometer.
At the interior, Opel provides leather upholstery in a black finish, revised door panels and dashboard as well as an IntelliLink infotainment system. Blue accent lighting is available too as well as silver contrast stitching, automatic climate control and even a Wi-Fi Hotspot.
It remains to be seen if Opel will decide to actually produce this concept, mainly considering that is not as futuristic as other ones. Therefore, producing the actual concept doesn’t need major changes.
