It`s big, it`s fast and it is definitely one of the most powerful supercar on the planet, as the highly anticipated Koenigsegg Regera has finally reached the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. This would be the company`s second megacar to finally make its way out the manufacturing plant.

But the Keongisegg Regera is more than a megacar, as it uses an innovative technology called the KDD, or the Koengisegg Direct Drive, an electric system that makes the model churn out a whopping 1,500 horsepower and 1,475 pound-feet of torque, which is more even than the Koenigsegg One:1.

The entire power is being delivered from a conventional 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 unit, backed by three electric motors. The entire powertrain is helped by the Koenigsegg Direct Drive, which replaces the conventional transmission and sends the power directly to the wheels.

All together, the electric motors also provide the energy from the internal combustion engine, allowing for regenerative braking as well as torque vectoring. On top of that, the three electric motors are also powered by a 9.27-kWh battery.

But the real performance are not yet to be revealed, as the Koenigsegg Regera is really reigning the roads with the most interesting figures achieved so far: we are talking here about an impressive acceleration from 0 to 400 km/h in less than 20 seconds, which is absolutely extraordinary. We will definitely here about it in the near future, meanwhile, enjoy the photo gallery with the Koenigsegg Regera being launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show!
