The Volvo Swedish carmaker has finally announced the long-expected CTS-V sports car at the 2015 NAIAS, in Detroit, the model that is expected to directly rival the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG or the BMW M5.
The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V was first shown to the public on the web, about a couple of weeks ago and everybody was excited on how the sports car would ”move” on the roads, as it was also rumored to come with a lot of power under the hood, apart from the aggressive body style.
Well, the Cadillac CTS-V will indeed come with great power, meaning a a massive 6.2-liter V8 unit fitted under the hood, capable of outputting a great 640 horsepower and impressive 855 Nm of torque, when hooked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Cadillac CTS-V is thus capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, at a top speed of 322 km/h.
But the power is not all, as the model will also come with an aggressive body kit, consistig of larger air intakes, ventilated carbon fiber hood, a new front splitter and much more. The body kit is complemented by the 19-inch forged alloy wheels with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Inside, the cabin is luxurious as well, a typical characteristic for Cadillac. We are talking here about high-end materials, the matte carbon fiber trim, sports seats all wrapped in the semi-aniline leather / sueded microfiber, while the gadgets include the Performance Data Recorded, the CUE infotainment system and digital cluster.
