The high-performance OPC version of the Opel Corsa was finally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and is slated to go on sale in May. We’ve seen the German car before but this is the first time we see it in metal. With the OPC badge comes great responsibility, that’s why Opel fitted the car with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine delivering 207 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque.
The 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in 6,8 seconds when the model is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox. Top speed is rated at 230 km/h while fuel economy figures are pretty good, averaging 7,5 liters/100 km or 37,7 mpg UK.
In terms of styling, the Opel Corsa OPC has revised bumpers, tweaked side mirrors and optical blocks as well as large air intakes. There’s also a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with 215/45 R17 Michelin tires.
If that’s not enough for you, Opel has an additional Performance Package that brings larger 18-inch alloy wheels, high-performance Brembo front brakes with 330mm discs, a Drexler mechanical multi-disc differential lock and a revised chassis for improved performance.
As mentioned above, the 2015 Opel Corsa is going to be available soon in Europe with official pricing details to be released soon.
