The 2015 SEMA Show has been transformed a lot over the past couple years, the auto event from Las Vegas becoming the real paradise of a lot of carmakers that wanted to display their customized models or latest concepts.
It is also the case of Mazda Japanese automaker which has brought along two exquisite concepts, the MX-5 Spyder and MX-5 Speedsteer.
Both the MX-5 Spyder and the MX-5 Speedster are the perfect embodiment of old-fashion meeting evolution, with cues from vintage models that perfectly complement a futuristic approach in styling.
The Mazda MX-5 Spyder seen here is wearing the gorgeous Mercury Silver exterior paint, along with the “bikini” soft top and a carbon aerodynamic kit. The model is also extremely light, weighing just 1.043 kg, making it extremely agile on the roads.
Other features that the MX-5 Spyder is coming with include the 17-inch ADVAN Racing RS II alloys, Brembo four-piston front calipers with venter rotors, adjustable coil-overs, while the cabin is now fitting the Spinneybeck PRIMA natural full-grain leather upholstery.
On the other hand, the Mazda MX-5 Speedster is much lighter, weighing 943 kg and coming with its own features, like the deflector which replaces the window, along with the 16-inch RAYS 57 Extreme Gram Light alloy wheels, the K&W adjustable coil-over suspension, Brembo brakes and more. The cabin is had with the carbon fiber seats and doors.
The carmaker has not revealed any powertrain details nor the pricing tags, but we should expect fresh news in the upcoming period.
