2015 SEMA Show: Ram Rebel X Concept Unveiled

View

Ram has used the 2015 SEMA Show as a big opportunity to launch the long-expected Rebel X Concept, the pick-up truck coming with a lot of interesting features both outside and inside.

If you are familiar with the Ram model lineup, then you should recognize its exquisite body styling from the start. This one seen here is based on the current Ram 1500 Rebel, all covered with the Dark Copper paint along with the Matte Black and Mopar Blue accents.

Since we are dealing with a concept, the Ram Rebel X is looking just a little bit different than the present 1500 Rebel, coming with extended fenders flares, tri-fold tonneau cover, two-piece front skid plate, or tubular side steps. The overall body design is highlighted by the 17-inch cast-aluminum beadlock wheels, wrapped in Toyo rubbers.

As for the cabin, the carmaker chose the fine black Katzin leather on the seats, with the “Rebel X” lettering embroidered, along with the special sill plates, copper contrast stitching or the alloy pedals. An interesting engine choice is also making its way under the hood.

We are talking about two powertrains: the entry-level 3.6-liter V6 unit, with 305 horsepower and 364 Nm of torque, as well as the higher 5.7-liter HEMI V8 unit, with 395 horsepower and 555 Nm of torque. The pricing tags have not been yet revealed, but we should expect fresh news at a later date.
