Subaru decided to surprise the Australian buyers with a new special edition for the BRZ coupe. The model in question is based on the 2015 model year version and comes with a 2.0-liter boxer unit producing 200 horses and 205 Nm of torque.
The engine is linked to a six-speed manual transmission but an automatic one is available at extra cost. Considering that Subaru offers the stock engine, expect no performance tweaks.
In terms of styling, the Subaru BRZ special edition gets new 17-inch alloy wheels, revised front spoiler, rear spoiler lip and side skirts.
Inside, Subaru offers a short-throw gearshift, a start button and other minor tweaks. The 2015 Subaru BRZ special edition is currently on order in Australia and starts from $40,650.
The company claims that they offer improvements worth 9,000 AUD for only 3,500 AUD. First units will reach their customers this winter, in November.
