The Aspen Ideas Festival taking place in Colorado, has welcomed the newly 2015 Toyota FCV, after the model was first presented in Europe just last week.
The FCV model (Fuel Cell Vehicle) is now ending up in our news again, this time with the occasion of the official unveil in the United States.
What`s interesting about this vehicle, is that it has been named the “car of the future”, due to its hydrogen-based power, while it takes just 5 minutes to fill in its tank.
Osamu Nagata, CEO at Toyota, mentioned in a press release that the 2015 Toyota FCV is the embodiment of the new technologies that would set up the grounds for improved safety, zero-emissions on the road and more.
“These technologies will help save lives, improve the environment, create jobs and help the U.S. maintain technical leadership in a field that is an important contributor to economic growth,” Nagata concluded.
The 2015 Toyota FCV is also able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 10 seconds, having a top range of an impressive 482 km.
The Fuel Cell Vehicle will start its first sales in Japan, in April 2015, while in the US the model will be launched a couple of months later, for a starting price of $70,000.
