2016 Beijing: Chery FV2030 Concept Introduced, Might Spawn Future Crossover Coupe

View

The China-based Chery carmaker has landed at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show with an interesting concept called FV2030, which is set to spawn a future crossover coupe.

We are dealing here with an extremely futuristic approach with an evolutionary and bespoke design, highlighted by a bold front end with “floating” grille, wide air intakes and high-riding bonnet.

The design cues which make the Chery FV2030 standout from the crowd also refer to the side skirts coming with semi-transparent gullwing doors, adding gloss black fender flares and the extremely wide alloy wheels with custom tires, which make the overall appearance more aggressive.

Another main highlight of the side skirts are the cameras installed instead of the side mirrors, the Chery FV2030 also featuring a tailgate-mounted spoiler, floating LED taillight bar and aluminum skid plate.

The interior is also futuristically designed, with LED lighting and white leather seats, along with a “fantasy” 3D holographic display which provides infotainment information.

As for the engine lineup, the Chinese carmaker has not revealed any details, but it has stated that this futuristic model would be powered by an electrified powertrain with an energy system. This might indicates the presence of a plug-in hybrid, or a battery electric or fuel cell vehicle, with autonomous driving features, all part of the “smart pilotless technology”.
