The BMW German based carmaker has just unveiled the long-expected 2016 M4 GTS, the model that sits about the M4 and comes with the most powerful engine from the lineup.
The 2016 BMW M4 GTS is the official model of the BMW M4 Concept showcased at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d`Elegance and will come with a choice of four exterior colors, such as the Sapphire Black metallic, Alpine White, Frozen Dark Grey Metallic and Mineral Grey. Only 700 units will be released worldwide, 300 of them heading to the United States.
The model is coming with an evolutionary design, thanks to its aggressive design cues and carbon fiber components, making it extremely lightweight. We are dealing here with the new carbon fiber bonnet, adjustable front splitter and new roof, along with the carbon fiber rear diffuser, with titanium mufflers for the exhaust system.
The overall body style is complemented by the M alloy wheels all wrapped with the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubbers, measuring 265/35 and 285/20 front and rear.
Inside, the cabin is also tweaking a lot of high-end materials, like Alcantara/Merino leather, Alcantara sports steering wheel and rear panel, updated center console, rear seat with GFRP shelf, a three-point seat belts and much more.
In the engine department, the BMW M4 GTS is making use of a 3.0-liter flat-six engine with water injection technology, the same one seen on the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car. The engine develops 500 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, at a topping of a limited 305 km/h.
