What seemed to be first regarded as a prank or just a fantasy, the guys over the Hennessey Performance tuning division have made it clear that the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V will become a real beast under the hood. Why? Simply because they can afford it and because all Americans fancy customized and powerful luxurious models, just like this CTS-V seen here in the two renderings.
Even if the model is being in the creation phase right now, Hennessey Performance have already drawn the entire powertrain scheme, the guys thinking fast of a powerful enough model to rival those from Porsche or even from Koenigsegg, just forget about Ferrari or Lamborghini.
The idea is simply outrageous: I am talking here about 1,000 horsepower, thanks to the HPE package, which comes with extreme upgrades under the hood, like new pistons and camshafts, modified crank, ported cylinder heads, carbon ceramic brakes, two huge turbochargers, upgraded suspension system and a few more. The overall power would be raised to whopping 386 km/h.
This is indeed a bold and ambitious project, but the Texas based aftermarket specialists from HP will definitely carry out this project successfully. After all, why bother having 640 horsepower and 855 Nm of torque, when you can have it all? I am looking forward to seeing the price set for this beast.
