Honda carmaker has announced a new trim level of the 2016 CR-V Special Edition in the United States, the version costing $23,595.
The 2016 Honda CR-V Special Edition is priced from $23,595 in the LX with front-wheel drive, while the Touring all-wheel will set you back at $33,245.
The 2016 Honda CR-V Special Edition will sport a lot of goodies that will place it above the LX, meaning a new security system, rear privacy glass, as well as the 17-inch alloy wheels.
The carmaker has recently stated in an interview that “the new Special Edition (SE) trim is positioned between the LX and the EX and is available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions. Together with the top-of-the-line Touring version introduced last year that includes the Honda Sensing™ suite of safety and driver assistive technologies, CR-V is now available in 12 trim/wheel drive versions.”
Under the hood, the 2016 Honda CR-V Special Edition trim will pack a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine, with 185 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, hooked to a CVT. The model is also fuel-efficient, the FWD coming with 26 / 33 / 29 mpg (in the city / highway / combined), while the AWD is returning 25 / 31 / 27 mpg.
