The 2016 Kia Optima is scheduled to debut next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Even the debut date is very close, we get to see the Euro-spec model thanks to the leaked photos and info below.
The new Kia Optima designed for the European market comes with slightly revised optical blocks and new bumpers. The new-generation Optima is clearly an evolution over the previous model, at least in terms of styling.
Under the hood, expect to see a 1.7-liter turbodiesel engine with 141 horses and 340 Nm of torque as well as a 2.0-liter gasoline unit with 247 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque.
A standard six-speed manual transmission is expected to be offered while a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox is also on the list. It remains to be seen if these rumors are correct but it is still nice to get an early overview on the engine line-up, even though the figures might not be absolutely precise.
