The first main auto event of the year, the 2016 NAIAS, in Detroit, has just opened its gates, with a lot of carmakers to present their exquisite and brand-new models. Ford is also present with its latest 2017 F-150 Raptor SuperCrew model.
We are dealing here with the improved crew cabin version of the last year`s 2017 F-150 Raptor, the truck now looking visibly more aggressive and adding new design cues. We might depict the huge front bumper, beefy extended fender flares or the mesh grille.
The design is also complemented by the standout dual exhaust system or the 17-inch rims wrapped in the BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 rubbers.
The cabin also looks fresh with the improved space for the rear seat passengers. Otherwise, the general touch and looks remain the same as in the standard F-150 Raptor.
From a mechanical point of view, the 2017 F-150 Raptor SuperCrew comes with a new Terrain Management System, enhanced with the Normal, Street, Weather, Mud and Sand, Baja and Rock driving modes.
Under the hood, the truck packs an updated 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, presuming to develop more than 411 horsepower and 588 Nm of torque, hooked to a ten-speed automatic transmission which sends the power to all four corners. The prices will be revealed later on, before the truck`s launch date this autumn.
