Toyota`s luxury subsidiary Lexus has always built exclusive models, but what it has done in the past few years with its sedans is absolutely admirable. We are now admiring the most distinctive and exquisite Lexus LC500 sedan, officially presented at the 2016 NAIAS, in Detroit.
The Lexus LC500 it`s a perfect mixture between elegance, luxurious feel and extreme sportiness that the Japanese engineers have been striving to achieve so far. And the result is indeed mind blowing.
The Lexus LC500 is standing on an extremely lightweight platform, also compressing high-strength steel, way beyond the LFA`s carbon chassis. Additional composites have been added, like carbon fiber on the rood, aluminum door skins, all of them making the sports car achieving a 52/48 weight distribution between the axles.
In the engine department, the Lexus LC500 packs a huge 5.0-liter V8 engine, churning out 467 horsepower and 527 Nm of torque, enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The power is also achievable thanks to some upgrades, like the six-piston brake calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear.
