The lovely all-new 2016 Opel Astra K recently unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, is ready to tackle the German market with an interesting engine lineup, consisting of three petrol burners and two diesels, all them coming at affordable prices.
First to be launched, is the base petrol 1.4-liter 100, set for 17,260, VAT included, which comes with rather the same price as the previous model.
Next, the 1.0-liter ECoTec three-cylinder direct-injection turbo, is coming with 105 horsepower and the Easytronic 3.0 manual transmission. In terms of fuel consumption, the model burns out just 4.2 L / 100 km, while the CO2 emissions stand at just 96 g/km. The model will cost 17,960 euros.
A higher petrol unit will be also available. It is about the new 1.4-liter EcoTec direct injection turbo, with a choice of 125 horsepower, 150 horsepower respectively, both coming with a fuel efficiency of 4.9 L / 100 km/h.
On the diesel`s side, the 2016 Opel Astra K can be had with the base 1.6-liter CDTI, developing 95 horsepower and available from 20,260 euros. The same engine is also coming with power between 110 horsepower and 136 horsepower, this version coming with just 3.4 L / 100 km and CO2 emissions of 90 g/km. All versions will also have a five-, six-speed manual or the aforementioned manual Easytronic 3.0, or six-speed automatic transmissions.
