Subaru released official details and pricing on the 2016 Forester, a crossover that just got some minor tweaks. The exterior is pretty much unchanged, most of the modifications being available inside.
The company focused on safety with a plethora of systems such as Enhanced Roadside Assistance, SOS Emergency Assistance and Diagnostic Alerts. A new STARLINK infotainment system is also available and comes with a display of 7-inches.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service is also something you will get on the better-equipped models. It helps you locate and recover your car in case of theft. It has an option to action the horn and the lights remotely, so you can quickly see your car.
“The 2015 Forester earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating with the available Subaru-developed EyeSight® system, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Departure and Sway Warning,” says the Japanese company.
Under the bonnet, you’ll find the same 2.5-liter engine producing 170 horsepower, linked to a Lineartronic CVT. Fuel economy is rated at 24 mpg city and 32 mpg highway which translates into an average of 27 mpg.
