Vauxhall released official pricing details for the new-generation Astra. Starting from £15,295 in the UK, the German car comes with big styling changes, a more aggressive look and revised engines.
As we can see, Vauxhall opted for new, sharper optical blocks, a sloping roofline, new lines for the hood and a redesigned rear end. Depending on the trim level, you will get either 16-inch alloy wheels or larger 17-inch multi-spoke rims.
The base model also includes LED daytime running lights, cruise control, air conditioning and a new IntelliLink infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen. The better-equipped variants come with leather steering wheel, sports seats, automatic climate control and front fog lamps.
Under the hood you will find a 1.0-liter turbo engine with 105 hp but also a more powerful 1.6-liter diesel with 200 hp. If you want impressive fuel economy figures, there’s the 110hp 1.6-liter diesel returning 91,1 mpg UK.
If the base model starts at just over £15,000, the range-topping Astra Elite has a starting price of £19,315. The 2016 Vauxhall Astra is scheduled to hit the dealerships this fall, namely in October.
