The SUV market is on a full swing with lots of carmakers adding high-performance and extremely technologically advanced models. Against top predators from the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche or Bentley, Mitsubishi is also trying to gain its share by preparing a brand-new SUV.
According to recent reports, the Japanese-based carmaker will officially release its secret SUV at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, but until then, Mitsubishi is getting ready for this weekend unveiling of the Outlander Sport Limited Edition, at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.
The small-run Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition is placed above the ES trim and will be priced in the United States from $21,995.
In terms of visuals, the Limited Edition comes with more standard features, like HID headlights, fog lamps, side mirror casings finished in black, adding as well 18-inch alloy wheels and the “Limited Edition” logos.
Speaking about standard features and technology inside, Don Swearingen, MMNA CEO, has also declared to a recent interview:
“As the brand sales leader, Outlander Sport does an exemplary job of offering consumers unmatched value at an attractive price. We’ve now taken that approach one step further by integrating additional standard equipment and technology into the Limited Edition, at a price point that is unprecedented within the broader CUV segment.”
The cabin is thus coming with the latest infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with red stitching on the steering wheel, black fabric, aluminum pedals, heated front seats, handbrake lever or shift knob.
The powertrain details and the number of available units will be known this weekend at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.
