Views

Honda is preparing a whole fleet for the 2017 Geneva Motor Show including the hardcore version of the standard Civic, the gorgeous Type R, recently previewed ahead the event.

We are looking here at an extremely sexy and sporty model with an aggressive design, increased aerodynamics and a very powerful engine under that hood.

Visually, the all-new 2017 Honda Civic Type R takes its similarity from the Civic, the model being already previewed in different prototypes and concept forms. In Geneva, we will have the chance of seeing just the way it will be launched on the market.

The 2017 Honda Civic Type R looks almighty with the aggressive front end and rear, highlighted by the updated headlights and taillights, as well as the prominent tail at the rear, which increases its overall aerodynamics.

This also announces the presence of a potent mill under the hood, much more potent than the standard Civic. We are dealing here with a brand-new 2.0-liter turbo VTEC petrol burner. Unfortunately, the carmaker didn’t reveal the performance figures, but we expect at least 300 horsepower.

Besides the powerful engine, the 2017 Honda Civic Type R is also equipped with the more advanced chassis, high-performance suspension system, all of them conferring the title of the fastest front-wheel drive production model in the world.

In Geneva, the model will stand side-by-side other new models, like the already announced Clarity Fuel Cell which will come with a colossal range of 620 km, as well as the so called NeuV, an all-electric vehicle with emphasize on technology.
