I have always loved the Volkswagen Amarok in all its editions and generations, the pickup truck revealing itself with a bulk and rugged yet aggressive look, impressively wide space inside and an engine lineup potent enough to take on any muddy or snowy roads.
Now, the Volkswagen Gemran based carmaker has announced the return of the Amarok in the 2017 updated model, the pickup truck receiving a potent diesel engine as well as a top of the line version, in the shape of the Amarok Canyon Edition.
The all-new 2017 VW Amarok and the Canyon Edition are getting ready for an official unveiling at the Mecca of pickup trucks, the IAA Comercial Vehicles Show, taking place soon in Hannover.
Performance wise, the all-new 2017 Volkswagen Amarok is packing a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine, now coming with 201 horsepower. This one will stand near the same diesel but with a higher configuration of 221 horsepower.
Besides the new power configuration, the Amarok will also receive a top of the line, in the shape of the Canyon Edition, which is based on the Comfortline model and coming in a double-cab configuration.
The pickup truck`s most important highlights refer to the 17-inch alloy wheels, matte black trim for the side steps, sports bar, door handles, b-pillars, as well as the all-wheel drive configuration.
