The battle on the big SUV market is still on, and Ford has lots to say and recently kicked in with the newly announced 2018 Expedition SUV in the first official videos.
And if you really want to have an idea of how big is the new 2018 Ford Expedition, then our suggestion is watching the videos with the model`s presentation at the exterior as well as inside the cabin. It is gorgeous, imposing, not tempered at all and willing to gain the hearts of every American.
Besides the wide shape, it is more lightweight, the SUV gaining new aluminum composites around the body. It has lost considerable weight – around 300 pounds – a fact that is reflected in the improved performance and fuel-consumption, not to mention the plethora of high-end features inside and the latest technology.
Speaking about technology and how much the 2018 Expedition has evolved, Joe Hinrichs, Ford President of the Americas, has also added:
“When Expedition was introduced 20 years ago, it set the standard for active families who simply needed a big and strong SUV to take them places. Today’s families want even more smart technology to help them cover more ground safely, more efficiently and more comfortably – all while staying connected to friends and family.”
In terms of standard equipment, the interior of the 2018 Ford Expedition boasts with the latest high-tech gadgetries, like Wireless charging, WI-FI hotspot, entertainment system, SYNC 3 and SYNC connect, six USB chargers, 110-volt power, 12-volt power points, 12-speaker B&O PLAY premium audio system and much more.
More than that, safety plays an important part for Ford and the latest Expedition SUV seems the benefit from plenty of it. We are looking here at the latest systems – lane keeping aid, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, collision avoidance detection system, blind spot information system, or the 360-degree camera technology.
In the engine department, the new 2018 Ford Expedition comes equipped with the company`s 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, with Auto Start-Stop system and the new ten-speed automatic transmission, also seen on the new Ford Mustang. Full powertrain and price details will be revealed later on!
