The news with Land Rover planning a coupe version of the infamous Range Rover Sport are not fresh, the upcoming model being already caught on shots some while ago.
Now, the Range Rover Sport Coupe is ending up into the spotlights again, the model being seen playing at the Ring and wearing full camouflage. According to the latest reports, the upcoming SUV is expected to hit the market at the end of 2017, coming as a 2018 YM.
Once it will emerge worldwide, the 2018 Range Rover Sport Coupe will compete against other top predators on the market, like the all-new BMW X6 or Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
In terms of design, the 2018 Sport Coupe will stand on the same platform also underpinning the Jaguar F-Pace, meaning aluminum and carbon fiber composites which would make it extremely lightweight.
Presuming standing between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport, the 2018 Sport Coupe will come with a sloping roofline, narrow grille up front or raked windshield. Overall, the car will look extremely aerodynamic. The cabin will also make room for four passengers and their luggage.
Performance wise, the 2018 Range Rover Sport Coupe is also believed to come with the same engine lineup as the Jaguar F-Pace, meaning a wide array of four- and six-cylinder engines. As expected, the carmaker will also prepare a hybrid as well as a full-electric version. The full details are scarce at the moment, but we should be able to find out more in the upcoming period.
